Thanksgiving will be celebrated during Coffee Hour on Sunday. Bring your favorite side dish or dessert, and we will provide the turkey.
Today, the Food Pantry distributed 350 turkeys and dinner fixings courtesy of All Faith's Food Bank. Thank you so very much to the many hardworking volunteers! It went quite smoothly—we are pros at this!! See the pictures on Facebook.
Our condolences go to Sue Tharp, whose husband Ray passed away earlier this week, and was buried at Sarasota National Cemetery yesterday.
Mark your calendar for the Bishop's first official visit on Sunday, December 15th. During Coffee Hour we will have Bill's annual "Feast of the Seven Fishes" (there is MUCH more than seafood served - it is an Italian feast including pasta). There are sign up sheets in the Narthex and at the breezeway door so Bill knows how much food to cook.
The Salvation Army Angel Tree is up!!. Please take a tag with the needs & wishes for disadvantaged children and seniors in our community. The items are due back by Wednesday, December 4th - unwrapped and in a bag with the tag.
This month's plate collection is for the Salvation Army Angel Tree. This allows us to do the shopping for for unclaimed tags, or items for the SA "closet" to fill in the gaps of wishes.
** Can someone please help us by hemming two sink skirts for the bathrooms in our Ministry Center. They are washed, and the hem is just a turn up of the existing. See Jeanne. We would love to have this completed before the bishop is here on the 15th .
Facebook is a fun way to stay connected with the Church and the news and happenings! Postings from the Preschool, the Diocese, the Episcopal Church, the National Cathedral, plus some fun and humorous items.
For November the Food Pantry is collecting bar and liquid soap, and Christmas items including decorations, wrapping paper, ribbons and bows.
They are in need of egg cartons and still need paper bags. There is a basket in the narthex, or kindly bring the items to the office.

Last week we served approximately 133 families – with the household average of 3.2 people, this represents 425 individuals. And multiplied by 4.33 weeks in a month, this equates to an average of 1842 people served. What a community impact!
